(Currently available from Amazon.com)

This is the story of Miss Katy McGraff, a happy-go-lucky young cowgirl who decides to visit the nearby town of Grimleysville, even after her mother tells her not to go there. “Grimleysville,” Katy’s mother warns her, “Is a town where people are forbidden to laugh” – and Katy is a young cowgirl who loves to laugh. In fact, if she could, Katy would spend the entire day laughing. But Katy is also a very curious young cowgirl, and she wants to see for herself why the people of Grimleysville are not allowed to laugh.

What follows is an adventure on a day when Katy, a happy-go-lucky and curious young cowgirl, takes a bold, adventurous journey to the nearby town of Grimleysville.

Randy the Purple Fire Truck

(Currently available from Amazon.com)

Randy, the Purple Fire Truck, wants to know why he’s different than all the other fire trucks at the fire station. Herman, the big hook-and-ladder truck, tells Randy it is because the people from the factory got the order wrong when Randy was sent there to get painted. This makes Randy sad, and he does not want to take part in the big parade with the other fire trucks from the fire station. This is the story of how Randy learns to accept the fact that he is different than the other fire trucks. And it is also the story of how the other fire trucks learn to accept Randy even though he is purple and not the same as them.
